Parabol utilizes its native fiat-backed stablecoin, paraUSD, to ensure regulatory compliance and stability. It introduces a unique yield mechanism that provides savers risk-free returns at minimum and incentivizes liquidity providers, all integrated within the same protocol.
Parabol savings rate is determined by the amount of locked and liquid tokens in circulation and generates yield through T-Bills and overnight repurchase agreements.

What is Parabol?
Parabol is a fiat-backed stablecoin protocol that provides a regulatory compliant stablecoin (paraUSD) and a native yield mechanism which offers a risk-free return to savers, while rewarding those who generate liquidity for the protocol. paraUSD token will be issued out of the EU as an asset reference token.
What is paraUSD?
paraUSD is an ERC-20, asset-referenced token that is pegged 1-1 to the US Dollar. paraUSD provides permanent redemption right to their holders, that would entitle them to request from the issuer the redemption of the asset-referenced token at any moment. paraUSDs are 100% backed by maturity matched T-Bills or overnight repo markets. Reserve assets are held in a segregated account separate from Parabol Labs' corporate assets.
What is the difference between Parabol and traditional stablecoins?
Parabol Protocol represents a novel approach to fiat-backed stablecoin systems, offering risk-free yields to savers at a minimum. It also rewards liquidity providers for their role in supplying liquidity to the protocol's ecosystem. Parabol uses paraUSD as its native stablecoin.
What is paraSBT?
paraSBT serves as a key to access paraUSDsNumber of paraSBTs sets an allocation limit for each participant. It establishes an allocation limit for each participant, granting holders the privilege of early access to paraUSDs through a private, permissioned pool. This early access mechanism allows paraSBT holders to potentially achieve higher returns by being among the first liquidity providers to the pool. This early access allows soulbound token holders to achieve higher returns by being the first liquidity providers.
To participate in the initial liquidity pool, paraSBT owners are required to supply additional stablecoins (USDC) as a prerequisite for swapping to paraUSDs.
